Too Close or Too Distant? How Childhood Shapes Our Relationship Patterns, pt. 2
Hosted by: Longevity Germany 📅 Date: Sunday, June 14, 2026 🕥 Time: 10:30 – 12:00 📍 Location: Blutenburgstraße 59, Munich What’s This About? Everyone has heard that childhood is especially formative for our psychological development. But why? What exactly do we learn in childhood, and how does it affect us later in life? This is the second talk in a series exploring two questions: What influence do childhood and adolescence have on our adult lives? How does therapy help us change? In this second session — Too close or too far: understanding relationship patterns pt. 2— we will take a first look at how early experiences shape what we seek and avoid in social relationships. This session includes a 60-minute talk, followed by an open-ended group exercise and discussion. We’ll explore questions such as: Why do we feel the need to hide parts of ourselves and struggle to fully show who we are, even in close relationships? How does our past influence the way we interpret our own behavior and that of others, and how can this shape our lives? How are therapists trained to recognize these patterns, and what role can they play in the therapeutic process? 🎤 Speaker Johanna Kresin – Psychologist in training & Program Associate at Longevity Germany 💬 Why Join? Gain a clearer understanding of how early experiences shape relationship patterns Reflect on your own experiences in a structured and guided way Exchange perspectives in a small, thoughtful group setting 🧠 Who’s It For?
