What is Longevity Hamburg?

Longevity Hamburg is a free, science-based community for people in Hamburg who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Hamburg chapter of Longevity Cities and welcomes anyone curious about strength, sleep, nutrition, breathing, stress and the people around them. No medical background needed.

The calendar mixes light and deep formats. Past meetups included a Walk & Coffee around the Alster, a chill-paced Alster run with techno beats, a winter walk in the HafenCity and a free Sunset Flow yoga evening in the park beside the Planetarium. Talks covered strength training, gut health, biomarkers, breathwork, skin ageing and sleep, and one night at Cryopoint in June 2026 was all about biohacking. In September 2026 the community also hosted after-summit drinks near the Messe.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Hamburg WhatsApp group linked on this page and choose a date in the calendar. Longevity Hamburg is a community, not a longevity clinic or a coaching business. People come here to learn, compare notes on tests and habits, and ask experts their questions at talks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Hamburg?+
Longevity Hamburg is the Hamburg chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy ageing. Members meet for walks and runs around the Alster, yoga in the park, and evening talks on strength, gut health, biomarkers, breathing and sleep. Everyone is welcome, whether you have followed longevity research for years or only just started to wonder how to stay fit and clear-headed as you get older.
Is there a longevity clinic or longevity doctor in Hamburg?+
Hamburg has private practices and check-up providers with a longevity focus, but Longevity Hamburg is not one of them: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. In Germany a private longevity check-up typically costs roughly 1,500 to 2,500 euros without imaging, and statutory insurance does not cover it. Before you book, ask which physician is medically responsible for your results and follow-up.
Where can I test my biological age in Hamburg?+
In Hamburg you have three routes: an epigenetic test by post (roughly 130 to 400 euros), an extended blood panel via your GP or a private lab (roughly 150 to 450 euros), or fitness markers such as VO2max and grip strength, which you can estimate for free on this website. Epigenetic clocks differ between providers, so read one result as a snapshot. The Longevity Hamburg talk on biomarkers in April 2026 covered what is worth measuring.
What longevity events are there in Hamburg?+
Longevity Hamburg runs walks, runs, yoga and expert talks, mostly free to attend. Past evenings covered strength training, gut health, biomarkers, breathwork and skin ageing, and the most recent talk, The Night Shift on sleep on 29 September 2026, is held in German. Announcements come in English and German, and each listing states the language. All dates are in the calendar on this page.
Is there a run club or walking group in Hamburg?+
Yes, Longevity Hamburg meets around the Alster for both. The community run in March 2026 was a chill-paced Alster run with techno beats, good chats and a protein shake afterwards. The Longevity Walk & Coffee at the AlsterCliff had no speaker, no slides and no agenda, just a relaxed walk with people who share the interest. Slower walkers and beginners fit right in, and the calendar lists the next dates.
Is there a longevity congress in Hamburg?+
Longevity Hamburg is a community, not a congress organiser, but it links up with the conference scene. Around the Longevity Forum Deutschland Impulstag on 4 September 2026 it hosted an informal after-summit get-together in a bar near the Messe at Congressplatz, open to conference guests and members alike. Meetups like this are listed in the calendar on this page.
Where can I find a biohacking community or workshops in Hamburg?+
Longevity Hamburg is a free place to talk biohacking and healthy living with an evidence filter. In June 2026 it hosted BIOHACKING 3.0 at Cryopoint with biohacker Patrick Kramer, and other evenings tackled breathing, biomarkers and the gut microbiome. Between events, questions and tips travel through the Hamburg WhatsApp group linked on this page.
Is there anything about dental longevity in Hamburg?+
Dental longevity is a question for your dentist, and Longevity Hamburg is not a dental practice. Our calendar has not listed a dental talk so far. Oral health is part of healthy ageing, and the basics are regular check-ups and professional teeth cleaning, which you often have to pay at least partly yourself. If you would like a dental topic at a meetup, say so in the community.
Where can I get free everyday longevity tips in Hamburg?+
Longevity Hamburg is not a coaching business, but it gives you free everyday tips in two ways. Talks with nutritionists and researchers cost nothing at many events, for example the free evenings on the ageing gut and sleep. On this website you can also use the free protein calculator, zone-2 heart-rate calculator and grip-strength test with age norms.
What can I do in Hamburg to meet people, for example as a woman over 50?+
Longevity Hamburg is open to all adults, with no age limit, and its calm formats make it easy to meet people at any age. A walk around the Alster, an open-air yoga evening in the park by the Planetarium or a talk followed by conversation are all low-pressure ways in. Newcomers are welcome at every event, and the Hamburg WhatsApp group helps you find company for your first visit.
What does Longevity Hamburg cost and how do I join?+
Longevity Hamburg is free to join: create an account, join the Hamburg WhatsApp group linked on this page and pick a date in the calendar. Events such as Sunset Flow yoga at the Planetarium and the gut health evening at Cryopoint listed free entry. You pay only for what you order yourself, like coffee after a walk or a drink at a get-together, and each listing says so upfront.
