What is Longevity Austin?

Longevity Austin is a free, science-based community for people in Austin who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Austin chapter of Longevity Cities, a place for healthy aging and longevity in Austin that starts with what the city does best: getting outside, moving together and talking to people who care about the same things. No expertise required.

The first event was a Sunset City Hike on the Shoal Creek Trail on 30 July 2026, ending with a healthy dinner nearby. Since then the group has met for a Matcha & River Walk and a Coffee & Walk, both starting at Mañana Coffee with a round of intros before a stroll along the river. On 7 October 2026 The Hot Take: Let's talk peptides at Evolve Social Wellness brings a speaker in for an approachable discussion.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Austin WhatsApp group linked on this page and pick a date from the calendar. Longevity Austin is a community, not a longevity clinic. If you are searching for an Austin longevity clinic, this is where you learn what clinics offer, compare experiences and ask questions before you spend money.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Austin?+
Longevity Austin is the Austin chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy aging. Its first events ran in summer 2026: a sunset hike with a healthy dinner and coffee or matcha walks by the river. The idea is simple: meet people in Austin who care about living longer and better, and move together. Beginners are welcome.
Is there a longevity clinic in Austin, TX, and what does it cost?+
Yes, Austin has private longevity clinics, but Longevity Austin is not one of them: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. In the US, clinic programs typically run from a few thousand to over 20,000 dollars a year, self-pay. Red flags to watch for: a treatment plan before any tests and pressure to buy supplements on the spot.
What does healthy aging and longevity look like in Austin?+
Healthy aging in Austin is mostly about using the city's outdoors: walking, hiking and swimming, plus good sleep, food, stress management and strong relationships. Longevity Austin builds its meetups around that, such as the Sunset City Hike on the Shoal Creek Trail and the river walks, and adds topic evenings like the peptides talk in October 2026.
Where can I get biological age testing in Austin?+
For biological age testing in Austin you can order an epigenetic test by mail (roughly 200 to 500 dollars), sign up for a biomarker blood-testing membership (roughly 350 to 500 dollars a year) or check VO2max and grip strength for free with our online tools. Epigenetic clocks differ between labs, so read one result as a snapshot. Longevity Austin itself does not run tests.
What longevity events are there in Austin?+
Longevity Austin hosts easy, social events. Past meetups: the Sunset City Hike with dinner on 30 July 2026, the Matcha & River Walk on 1 August and a Coffee & Walk on 5 September, all in 2026. Coming up on 7 October 2026 is The Hot Take: Let's talk peptides, a talk led by Drayke Jacobs at Evolve Social Wellness. The calendar on this page lists every date.
Are there walking or hiking meetups in Austin for people who are not runners?+
Yes, Longevity Austin is built around walking, not racing. The Coffee & Walk starts at 10:30 on a Saturday at Mañana Coffee: you grab a coffee or matcha to go, do a round of intros and stroll along the river. The Sunset City Hike on the Shoal Creek Trail was billed as a low-pressure way to get outside after work.
Where can I find a biohacking or peptide community in Austin?+
Longevity Austin is a free community in Austin where longevity enthusiasts meet to recover, connect and talk about practical ways to improve health and performance. The Hot Take: Let's talk peptides on 7 October 2026 is a good example: an approachable discussion led by a speaker. It is information, not medical advice, so check decisions with your own doctor.
Can I join Longevity Austin from outside the city, for example Round Rock or Bee Cave?+
Yes, people from the wider Austin area are welcome. Meeting points so far have been downtown near Lady Bird Lake and the Seaholm district, plus Evolve Social Wellness on State Highway 71 in the west of the metro area. Each event listing gives the exact address, so you can pick the ones that suit your drive.
Is Longevity Austin free, and how do I join?+
Yes, joining is free: create an account, join the Austin WhatsApp group linked on this page and register for a date in the calendar. You only pay for what you order yourself, such as a coffee or matcha at Mañana Coffee or the healthy dinner after the sunset hike, and each listing states costs upfront. You do not need to know anyone.
