What is Longevity Brunswick?

Longevity Brunswick (Longevity Braunschweig in German) is a free, science-based community for people in Brunswick, Lower Saxony, who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Brunswick chapter of Longevity Cities and is open to anyone curious about movement, sleep, nutrition, stress and good relationships.

The chapter is just getting started and has not published its first meetup yet. The city offers good settings for early gatherings: the Bürgerpark, where the Oker runs past ponds and wide meadows, and the old town around Burgplatz with the Brunswick Lion. As a university city with TU Braunschweig, it also has plenty of curious people. Ideas for a first walk or talk are welcome in the WhatsApp group.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Braunschweig WhatsApp group linked on this page and watch the calendar for the first date. Longevity Brunswick is a community, not a longevity clinic. People come here to learn, compare notes on tests and check-ups and ask experts their questions at talks.

Frequently asked questions

What is Longevity Brunswick, and is it the same as Longevity Braunschweig?
Yes, Longevity Brunswick and Longevity Braunschweig are the same chapter: Brunswick is simply the English name of the city in Lower Saxony. It is the local chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy ageing. It connects people who want to know what really supports a long, healthy life, no scientific background required.
Is there a longevity clinic or longevity doctor in Braunschweig?
Longevity Brunswick is not a clinic or a doctor's practice: we are a free community and do not diagnose, treat or sell anything. Private longevity check-ups are offered by practices across Germany and typically cost roughly 1,500 to 2,500 euros without imaging, which statutory health insurance does not cover. Ask which tests follow guidelines and which are still experimental, and what you would do differently based on each result.
Where can I test my biological age in Braunschweig?
The simplest start is a blood panel through your GP or a private lab, roughly 150 to 450 euros for an extended one. Alternatives are an epigenetic test by post (typically 130 to 400 euros) or fitness markers such as VO2max and grip strength. Epigenetic clocks vary between providers, so treat a result as a snapshot. Face-age test, VO2max calculator and grip-strength test are free on this site.
Are there longevity meetups in Braunschweig?
Longevity Brunswick has not published its first meetup yet, but the chapter is set up, the WhatsApp group is open and the calendar on this page is where the first date will appear. Early formats are likely to be simple: a walk, a coffee talk or an expert evening. If you would like to help shape the first one, say so in the group.
Is there a longevity community in Germany?
Yes, Longevity Cities is a free network of local longevity communities with chapters in many German cities, and Brunswick is one of them. Each chapter organises its own meetups, from walks to dinners and talks. One free account works across all chapters, so you can also join events in other German cities when you travel.
Where can I walk in nature by the water in Braunschweig?
The Bürgerpark is a good answer: the Oker runs through this landscaped park of about 42 hectares, with ponds, big meadows and winding paths that suit an easy walk or a slow jog. It is a setting we like for the conversations Longevity Brunswick is about. Official meetups appear in the calendar, and until then you can arrange a stroll through the WhatsApp group.
Where can I find a biohacking and healthy-living community in Braunschweig?
Longevity Brunswick is a free place in Brunswick to talk biohacking and healthy living with an evidence filter. Bring your questions about sleep, training, nutrition or wearables, or the health headline you were unsure about. With a technical university in town, plenty of people like to look at the data behind a claim. Everything starts in the Braunschweig WhatsApp group linked on this page.
How can I meet new people in Braunschweig?
Longevity Brunswick is a low-pressure way to meet people in Brunswick who care about their health, whether you are a student, a newcomer or have lived here for decades. Since the chapter is new, you can still shape what the first meetings look like. Join the WhatsApp group, introduce yourself and suggest a walk or a topic. All adults are welcome.
What does Longevity Brunswick cost?
Longevity Brunswick is free: an account and taking part in the community cost nothing, and there is no membership fee. Once meetups are published, each listing states costs upfront, for example a coffee or a meal you order yourself. A walk in the Bürgerpark costs nothing at all.
How can I join or help organise Longevity Brunswick?
Create a free account on Longevity Cities and join the Braunschweig WhatsApp group linked on this page. That is also where to volunteer as a co-organiser, offer a talk or propose a first walk. The chapter is young, so early ideas carry weight. New dates are added to the calendar on this page as soon as they are confirmed.
